Sonja Sohn, who made her acting name playing a tough female cop in
The Wire, has returned to the Baltimore streets the TV series so splendidly depicted. She is the force behind a program called
"ReWired for Life," which aims to work with young people similar to those portrayed on the HBO series. (This is not to be confused with a non-profit of the same name which specializes in medical issues.) Sohn, whose real-life background was somewhat similar to
The Wire's characters, wants to "give back" to Charm City.
