Holes-in-one in golf rarely occur. Going to the links with a sitting president of the United States is just about as infrequent.
US senator Saxby Chambliss (R-GA) recently hit this unique double during a cozy golfing foursome with Barack Obama, two other pols, and a Secret Service retinue.
According to a report in the Chicago Tribune, the Georgia Republican nailed a six-iron for his place in obscure Senate history. We don't know if the shot helped Chambliss win any wager, but it's a safe bet that he didn't say "aye" with the president during a Senate vote later that afternoon.
