Judge Strikes Down "Indefinite Detention" Provision of National Defense Authorization Act
Judge Katherine Forrest
Last week, Obama appointee
Judge Katherine Forrest
struck down a provision of the
National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA)
which would have permitted a president to order the indefinite detention of people "suspected" of contact with "terrorists."
The story about the judge's ruling, and the deeply disturbing genesis and nature of NDAA, is noted in commentary appearing in the
Guardian.
